Charlie Company

This painting is the largest and most ambitious I’ve ever attempted. The image is based on a photograph by my father’s cousin Martin Adler, a war reporter who travelled extensively in Africa and Asia and was killed in Somalia in 2006. Although primarily a journalist and camera-man, his photography is also inspiring.

I am delighted to say that I was recently awarded a prize by the Oxford Art Society as part of their Autumn exhibition. The Young Artist Competition was open to artists under the age of 35.
